Meet Shaun.

Shaun Castillo serves as President of Pref-Tech, leading the organization’s strategy, performance, and long-term growth. He is responsible for aligning the company’s operations, culture, and customer delivery to ensure Pref-Tech consistently meets its commitment to high-quality craftsmanship and service.

Shaun is known for building a strong, values-driven culture grounded in accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement. Under his leadership, Pref-Tech has grown into a high-performing organization focused on solving customer challenges while maintaining a close-knit, team-oriented environment.

Prior to becoming President in 2009, Shaun served as Pref-Tech’s Vice President of Operations, where he helped establish the operational foundation that supports the company’s continued growth. Before joining Pref-Tech, he served as an officer in the United States Army after graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point. His military career included multiple assignments as a Field Artillery officer and a combat deployment to Iraq, experiences that continue to shape his leadership approach today.

Shaun’s leadership and impact have been recognized across the industry. He was named a Security Systems News “20 Under 40” winner, serves on the PSA Leadership Committee, and has been a two-time Vistage Leadership Award finalist.

Shaun and his wife Amanda parent three boys, Ryan, Corey, and Kyle.
