Meet Shaun.

Shaun Castillo serves as President of Pref-Tech, leading the organization’s strategy, performance, and long-term growth. He is responsible for aligning the company’s operations, culture, and customer delivery to ensure Pref-Tech consistently meets its commitment to high-quality craftsmanship and service.

Shaun is known for building a strong, values-driven culture grounded in accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement. Under his leadership, Pref-Tech has grown into a high-performing organization focused on solving customer challenges while maintaining a close-knit, team-oriented environment.

Prior to becoming President in 2009, Shaun served as Pref-Tech’s Vice President of Operations, where he helped establish the operational foundation that supports the company’s continued growth. Before joining Pref-Tech, he served as an officer in the United States Army after graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point. His military career included multiple assignments as a Field Artillery officer and a combat deployment to Iraq, experiences that continue to shape his leadership approach today.

Shaun’s leadership and impact have been recognized across the industry. He was named a Security Systems News “20 Under 40” winner, serves on the PSA Leadership Committee, and has been a two-time Vistage Leadership Award finalist.emphasizing discipline, clarity, and mission focus.

Since joining Pref-Tech in 2005, Grady has been instrumental in the company’s growth, helping shape its sales strategy, brand identity, and market position.

Outside of work, Shaun Castillo is deeply invested in his community, faith, and mentorship of others. He currently serves as President of The Woodlands High School FFA Booster Club, a role he held over the past school year and will continue in the year ahead, supporting students and agricultural education initiatives.

Shaun also serves as a Board Member of FAST, contributing to organizational leadership and community impact. His commitment to faith is evident through his involvement at Stonebridge Church, where he co-leads a men’s small group and regularly speaks at faith-based men’s gatherings. Each year, he also hosts and prepares barbecue for multiple men’s fellowship events, creating space for connection and meaningful conversation.
In addition, Shaun actively participates in several peer and leadership groups, including a Peer Exchange Group with PSA Security Network, the Collaboratory Christian Entrepreneur Group, and The Circle, a Houston-area small group for business leaders. These engagements reflect his ongoing commitment to personal growth, servant leadership, and building strong professional and spiritual communities.

Shaun and his wife Amanda parent three boys, Ryan, Corey, and Kyle.
