Meet Douglas.

Douglas brings a unique blend of operational leadership, financial expertise, and entrepreneurial experience shaped by both corporate and family-owned business environments. He currently serves at Pref-Tech, where he has been a key leader since joining in April 2018. Known for his steady leadership and commitment to building strong relationships, Douglas plays an integral role in driving the company’s continued growth and performance.
Douglas began his career in public accounting, earning his CPA while working at a firm in Philadelphia. He later joined his family’s manufacturing and construction business, which operated at scale across the eastern United States and supplied major retailers including Lowe’s and Home Depot. That experience provided him with firsthand exposure to operations, production, and the realities of running a high-volume business.

After relocating to Texas, Douglas expanded his experience in both the construction and technology sectors. He served as Controller for an affordable housing developer before transitioning into a software company environment, where he navigated multiple acquisitions within organizations ranging from $30 million to $5 billion in valuation. These experiences strengthened his ability to lead through change, manage financial complexity, and support organizational growth.

At Pref-Tech, Douglas has found a long-term home where he values both the work and the people. He is deeply committed to the company’s mission and culture, and he credits the strength of the relationships built within the organization as a defining aspect of his experience.

Outside of his professional life, Douglas is a dedicated husband and father of two sons currently in college. He is actively involved in ministry and enjoys woodworking, flying as a pilot, hunting, fishing, and playing the drums.
